Kenosha Literacy Council - Donate
Financial contributions from individuals and organizations are vital to the ongoing work of the Kenosha Literacy Council. With your help, we can continue to reach the increasing number of adults who need basic literacy and English services.
KLC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible.
Here are some of the ways you can contribute to the Kenosha Literacy Council.

Through Special Events
- Our 9th annual Community Spelling Bee will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at GTC Madrigrano Conference Center. You can support the event buy sponsoring a team, donating items for the raffle and silent auction, and/or attending the event. The Spelling Bee is the Council’s main fundraiser and brings in thousands of dollars to support programs that build reading, writing and English skills of adults in our community.
- We also encourage organizations and businesses to sponsor special events that benefit KLC. These may include book fairs, silent auctions, and many other creative ideas.
With In-Kind Products or Services
We are always in need of educational and office supplies including:
- Copy paper
- Pens, pencils, and erasable markers
- Mailing labels
- Ink cartridges
- File folders
- Hanging folders

Grocery Store Rebate Programs

We Care Program at Pick ’n Save helps KLC raise additional funds through supportive shoppers who use their Roundy’s Rewards Card.
- If you don’t have a Roundy’s Rewards Card: Go to the service desk and fill out a short form to obtain a card. Designate the Kenosha Literacy Council as your charitable organization of choice.
- If you do have a Roundy’s Rewards Card: Go to the service desk and tell them you want to designate the Kenosha Literacy Council as your charitable organization of choice.
- Then, all you have to do is shop and use your Roundy’s Rewards Card. Each time you use your Card, the Kenosha Literacy Council will receive a cash rebate.
- Spieglehoff’s Super Value has a similar program. Each time you shop at Spieglehoff’s SuperValu, please have the cashier stamp you cash register receipt and save it. Mail/drop off the receipts at the Kenosha Literacy Council. We compile the receipts and send them to SuperValu every three months. We then receive a cash rebate.
