There are many reasons for improving your literacy skills:
- Several students decide to study for their GED.
- A number of our students want to get a job or get a better job.
- Many businesses give a reading and math test before hiring a prospective employee.
- The employer needs workers who are capable of reading at or above a high school level.
- Some people decide they wish to do into a new field and must improve their skills.
- Several come to the United States for a better life and wish to learn English in order to obtain a job that provides a livable wage.
- When students improve their literacy skills more life choices are available.

What's in it for students?
- Learn English with trained tutors.
- Learn English with personal 1 to 1 instruction.
- Converse with others learning English in small groups.
- Learn about United States customs and celebrations.
- Get help obtaining citizenship.
- Get help obtaining a driver's license.

- Read and speak English with your children and help them with homework.
- Read English newspapers.
- Understand news on television.
- Be able to talk to your boss at work in English.
- Be able to find or advance in jobs that you want.
- Be able to have a Wisconsin driver's license.
